The film revolves around the round the world trip undertaken by two people They are Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) and Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman) who is very ill.
Cole is a wealthy businessman, a loner, has been divorced four times, and the only pleasure is 'torture' Mattew assistant (Sean Hayes) who always he was called Thomas. While Carter is only the poor lowly employees, type "family man". Two different world met at the hospital after being diagnosed with cancer and both are convicted will not live more than a year.
